Foreign Experience

Andrea Lopez, staff

Ever wondered what other parts of the world looked like? Ever wondered about the culture, food, cars, and people? Five young students got the chance to experience all of that when they decided to take a journey halfway across the world.

Juniors Cara Diekmann (Germany), Ashley Matheson (New Zealand), Carla Leroy (France), Khedher Mohamed (Tunisia), and Lola Armengaud (France) get to experience this  opportunity.

“I want to experience the immigrant culture, the one we don’t see in the movies,” Mohamed said. So far the students are enjoying their stay here, but it wasn’t easy to get into this program. Each student had to write one or more essays, take a test, fill out applications and do a lot more to be approved for the program. The students are looking forward to their first school year in America.
