Pressure mounted for the Thunderbirds during their first match against new league opponent Leavenworth during Tuesday night’s game at Bettis. Heading into overtime, the score was tied 3-3. When entering double overtime, the golden goal rule applies: the first goal wins the game. After the perfect cross from senior Josh Zeller, sophomore Johnny Jasso headed the ball with two seconds left, placing it in the back of the net.
