National Honor Society students are bringing back a tutoring system that has not been used for the past three years.

Students who are a part of NHS are applying their time during T-Bird time on Wednesdays to help other students who need extra tutoring in their classes. These sessions are open to any student in Mr. Mike Balint’s room.

Three tutors are available each half of T-Bird Time. All subjects are available for tutoring and five of the NHS members are able to assist Spanish speaking students.

NHS students are using this tutoring opportunity to acquire more community service hours as well as help out other students.

“NHS in the past has always had a tutoring program and it kind of died off because it wasn’t working out,” senior Nikky Bloomquist said. “The vice president’s responsibility is to head it so I decided to try and restart it.”

For any student wanting to take advantage of the program, they can find help in Mr. Balint’s room, S 207, on Wednesdays during T-Bird Time.
